Thomas McCall Anderson (1836-1908)

McCall Anderson trained with leading European dermatologists, and jointly founded the Glasgow Skin Dispensary in 1861. In 1874 he became the first Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Western Infirmary, Glasgow. Author of numerous papers and texts on dermatological topics, Anderson was later appointed Regius Professor of Medicine at the University of Glasgow, and knighted in 1905.
