John MacLeod Hendrie MacLeod (1870-1954)

Another Scot whom migrated south, MacLeod was appointed to the Charing Cross Hospital in London, where he took a special interest in the pathology of the skin. His "Practical Handbook of the Pathology of the Skin" was published in 1903, and he was appointed Director of Pathology at St John's Hospital for Diseases of the Skin in 1923. He edited the British Journal of Dermatology and Syphilis, and published a comprehensive textbook "Diseases of the Skin" in 1930.
